These terms are an agreement between you and Christian J. Escudero Otero, an individual based in Illinois, USA, who operates TableMates at tablematescommunity.com (“TableMates”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using TableMates you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
You must be at least 13 years old to use TableMates, and at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) to buy anything. If you use TableMates for a business, you confirm you’re allowed to act for that business.
You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email. Keep access to your email secure; you’re responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at support@tablematescommunity.com if you think someone else has used it.
Videos you post and your profile are public on TableMates. You keep ownership of the videos, captions and profile details you post. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, and let others view and share links to that content on TableMates and in promotion of TableMates, so we can run the service. This licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies already shared. You can delete your videos at any time.
Only post content you made or have permission to use. Don’t post anything that is illegal, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, dangerous, misleading, or that infringes someone else’s rights or privacy, and don’t film people without their permission. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. Anyone can report a video or block an account; videos reported by several people are hidden until we review them.
If you believe content on TableMates infringes your copyright, email support@tablematescommunity.com with: your contact details, the work you own, the link to the content, a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn’t authorised, a statement that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for them, and your signature. We remove infringing content and may close repeat infringers’ accounts.
Food businesses can buy a Featured listing for $19 per month (plus any applicable tax). Featured listings are paid placements and are labelled as such. While featured, your business name, city, “About you” text and any link you add are shown publicly on TableMates.
Automatic renewal. Your Featured listing renews automatically every month and your card is charged $19 at the start of each monthly period until you cancel. You can cancel anytime on the Get featured page (Cancel listing), or by emailing support@tablematescommunity.com. When you cancel you won’t be charged again and your listing stays up until the end of the month you already paid for. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy. We’ll tell you in advance by email if the price changes, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. We may decline or remove a Featured listing that breaks these terms, and will refund the unused part of the month if we remove it without a violation on your part.
TableMates is an early-stage service and is provided “as is”. We may change or stop features. We don’t guarantee any particular number of views, customers or results from a Featured listing.
To the fullest extent the law allows, TableMates is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or $50 if you paid nothing). Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can’t be waived.
You can stop using TableMates at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing support@tablematescommunity.com. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA. We may update these terms; if a change is significant we’ll let you know by email or on the site before it takes effect. Continuing to use TableMates after that means you accept the new terms.
